The M31 gallery of reverse plastic:
c.1960 Global GR-711
a.k.a., Zephyr GR-711, 3 3/4"H x 2 3/4"W x 1"D...
The 711 came in at least five cabinet colors: ivory, black, red, blue (shown here), and -- rarely -- lavender...
For cabinet design, its kinda silly and its kinda cool -- one of the truly classic reverse-painted plastic transistor radios. And note that the words, "GLOBAL" and "TRANSISTOR" are stamped on the outside face of the reverse-painted plastic -- this combination of surface-stamping and underpainting can be found on a number of other gorgeous radios, such as the Crown TR-555 and the Zephyr ZR-930, to name just two.
