Hoffman BP707
4 1/2"H x 2 5/8"W x 1 1/8"D
Manufactured in Japan for Hoffman, an American corporation, the BP707 was made around 1961. It's the only truly purple transistor radio which I can think of from that era. Actually, the body is beige in color, but the face is purple, and it's the face that really counts, right? And the beige / purple / chrome color combination is just so swell... Few of these models seem to have survived the decades. There's also a "KP707" model out there somewhere, same chassis and cabinet, I think, but a different color combo for the cabinet...
