A mid-to-late-'60s set -- I think this is the only "Solid State" radio you'll find on this site, and it's included because it's just so... Solid!

Very well made and fits perfectly in one's hand, sleek & slim with chrome, brushed aluminum, a PAINTED black metal grill and a gorgeous red plastic cabinet. Unlike nearly all "Solid State" transistors -- ugly, boxy, junky things made in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korean or India -- this sweetie not only was made in Japan, but it was made by Sharp (Hayakawa Electric Co., Ltd.), Japan's oldest electronics manufacturer...
