1960 X15N, 1959 Motorola X14E:
Left: Motorola X15 series: 6 transistors, 2 3/4 x 4 x 1 1/2. These handsome jobs are REALLY heavy -- lots of chrome-plated metal, and an aluminum wire mesh grill. There's also a swivel-out table stand... The X15 was one of a number of U.S. shirtpockets to use reverse plastic in the dial area. (This one was made in Japan for Motorola -- see the previous X11 page).
