1959 X11RJ:
2 1/4 x 4 x 1. The X11 came in four cabinet colors:
red (X11RJ), ivory (X11G), black (X11B), and baby blue (X11E).
As Michael Schiffer notes in his book, The Portable Radio in American Life, 1959 was a pivotal year for US radio mfrs: it was the year when several companies, including Motorola, chose for the first time to contract with Japanese firms to produce their radios. This X11 series was the first Japanese-produced Motorola radio to mark that historic transition.
