Nearly identical in cabinet and chassis to the Sharp TR-180, also produced in 1958. The tuning dial center on this example is not original. This TR-173 example was assembled in early 1959.

(Just wondering: Who named this radio "Collie", and why? Were there any other radios made by Sharp that had their own moniker? — I'm not aware of any, but maybe you can tell me otherwise by emailing me.)
