c.1957 Admiral 7M12 (Chassis 7M1)

Small coat pocket radio, thermoplastic cabinet
6 x 3 9/16 x 1 11/16 inches / 152 x 90 x 43 mm
Seven transistors (RCA, 3x 2N217, 2x 2N218, 2N219; 93A9), superheterodyne circuit
Four 1.5v AA cells

One of those very cool, very '50s-looking early US transistor radios, this was one of Admiral's first "pocket" radios (all the early ones were coat pocket sets). This red & white cabinet 7M12 model was part of the 7M10 series with a chassis designation of 7M1. RCA made at least six of the transistors used in the circuit — I'm not sure who made the 93A9.
