I bought this on eBay.co.uk some years ago because it looked pretty cool in the pics, and I wasn't disappointed -- it's a really "solid" set, very heavy for its size, and while those handles on the front are a bit showy and excessive, I have to say I've actually used them to move the set around. This is the "Mark II" version of the EC10, the biggest change here being that the "Mark II" has an S-meter. Also, its frequency markings are in kHz/MHz as opposed to the kc/Mc markings of the original EC10.
A five-band, ten-transistor MW/SW radio (550-1500 kHz/1.5-3.5 MHz/3.5-8.0 MHz/8.0-18 MHz/18-30 MHz), powered by either standard AC or 9V DC. It has a wonderfully smooth and heavy vernier tuning dial, with its general tuning connected directly to a small fine-tuning dial located at the bottom right corner of the dial face -- and there's BFO tuning for CW and SSB.
