This Londoner radio shared the same chassis, pc board, and transistor complement as its predecessor, the Perdio Piccadilly, but its cabinet had a much more contemporary design for the times.

On this set, as on the earlier Piccadilly, both the LW and MW bands are calibrated simply in meters — most other European LW/MW radios didn't display the LW band in meter calibrations but rather designated by name the few LW broadcasters at their spots on the tuning dial.
