An experimental 6-transistor model, most likely first shown at the 1956 Hanover Trade Fair — according to the History of Telefunken website, about 100 units were reported to have been produced.
(If you'd like to read an English language translation of the 1956 article published in the German journal, "Funkschau" (translated by Vincent de Franco for Radiomuseum.org), click here.)
The first West German transistor radios produced for commercial consumption were the 1957 Akkord Peggie and the 1957 Telefunken Partner.
