A very nice six-transistor kit radio for "young experimenters", the Electron 2-M (Электрон-2М) was a later version of the nearly identical 1965 "Electron" (Электрон) kit radio. And while the Electron 2-M was primarily made for the domestic market, this example is an export model, as can be seen from the markings on the sides of the display box ("NOVOEXPORT" and "Made in USSR"), and in fact I bought this example on eBay.fr (eBay France) in 2011.
The box graphics make a clever usage of the Cyrillic alphabet, the "Э" in "Электрон-2М" becoming the electron orbit in the atomic symbol.
