The "Mir" was pretty big for a "shirt pocket" radio, several millimeters larger all-around than the Regency TR-1 or the 1960 Russian Neva. A two-band LW/MW radio, its tuning dial's numbering scheme ("0"—"9") has no direct correspondence to either band. The band switch is on the top face of the radio.
